Overview
About Me
Physically, I am a tall, lanky dude who likes to move his body
Otherwise, I'm quite open and curious about other people. I love listening to peoples' stories, and hearing about their passions.
There's obviously much more to me than this, as there is to you and everybody, and you can ask me anything you want to know.
I am Travis. I care. I have fun. I play, I listen and hear and see. I do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have several friends, a brother and myself who have had really fantastic experiences with couchsurfing. Also, as I mentioned before, I love people. People are amazing and beautiful, but I find I don't meet enough of them overall. With couchsurfing it's possible to expand my horizons of people meeting and rendez-vous-ing. I've hosted, I've guested, I've met new people, I've had some incredible times, I've learned so much from the high caliber of person that tends to engage with couchsurfing.
Interests
Oh man, I like a lot of things. Moving, dancing, yoga, juggling, singing, listening to music, walks and talks in nature, meditation. Snowboarding. I guess that's not a whole lot of things, but those are my major hobbies.
I like having interesting conversations and learning from other people. I like to hang out with positive and inspiring people.
These things fuel me, especially the community around them, sharing joyously together.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Game of Thrones. Not to be pretentious, but I liked the books before they were cool. The series is alright too, but the books have a special place in my heart.
I like Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaiman. I love Dr. Seuss. I enjoyed the Hobbit a lot (the book). I'm sure there are many more, but these are the ones that come to the top of my head
Movies: American Beauty, 21 Jump Street, Tangled. While these movies were great themselves, what burned them into my memory was the conversations I had after them.
Music: Too much to even begin to capture it. Forever favorites include Pink Floyd (especially Dark Side of the Moon), Gorillaz, the soundtracks of Les Miserables and Wicked, Squirrel Nut Zippers and the John Butler Trio.
There's also a special place in my heart for power-angst country songs
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is a hard one for me. I spent 7 weeks biking to and staying at a zen monastery. That was just so unlike anything else I've ever done that I feel like I have to mention it.
I spontaneously decided to join a modern dance show last year having no dance experience. That was an adventure.
I've biked from Nantes to Bordeau.
Teach, Learn, Share
This is what I love about humanity. These kinds of connections that can arise when we are not scared to get on each others' levels and let the other in and talk a walk around inside. There is so much other people have to offer, and that you can offer other people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can talk. I can listen. I am really quite good at paying attention. The way I try and view social situations is to try and make the other person (or people) feel as comfortable as possible. You have nothing to hide with me.
I can cook (edibly, if not necessarily gourmet)
I can teach you how to juggle (guaranteed)
We can play together (Games, sports, what have you)
