CS is a wonderful way to not just see an area, but also meet people who live there - so much more real than just staying in motels and camping. Oct.'07-Jan.'08 I took a long anticipated trip to Australia & NZ staying in a mix of Backpackers, pub hotels and CouchSurfing - It was a gift of people and experiences........ Since that first experience I've continued, now & then, to meet other fine CSers, including Turkey in 2011.....I love travel and exploring: reading about places, then walking the streets or the forests and discovering things ... I've lived internationally, and love both big-city culture and the vastness and peace of nature....I'm active and adventurous, for enjoyment, not competition,.......... eclectic, curious and interested in life.

Natural hot springs, whether primitive or fancy, are one of my favorite things.
Dancing, tennis, road trips, horse riding, sailing, kayaking...classical & chamber, theater... Might be as inclined to catch a Perseids shower as a straight-ahead jazz set...

I usually have a couple books going at once, both fiction and non-fiction. When I travel I read both national/ international newspapers, plus local papers to get a feel of the place I'm in.
