ABOUT ME

I spent many years transient, traveling and having many adventures. I grew up in Florida and went to college originally in the Asheville area of NC. From there, I spent time in Hawaii, Yellowstone, Mt. Ranier, Mexico, Alaska, Peru, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, upstate NY, Vermont, worked at the Omega Institute in NY for a while, and lived on a commune in Missouri for a bit. You get the idea. I am a Picses. They say itchy feet are in the stars for us. During all this travel, I had the revelation that the more people we could meet and learn from, the more we could understand the world. I currently live in Salt Lake City, UT, with my amazing partner Erik who I met working a seasonal job in Alaska. We are very into climbing. I am currently on my biggest adventure yet, following my heart and passion as a working singer-songwriter. I am hoping to couch surf when I travel for music as well as on other trips if they come up. If I am around, chances are we will have a couch to surf, but I do travel from time to time and might be surfing myself. Please ask, though! We love meeting and connecting with new people. Things I love: folk music, especially in the singer-songwriter genre, red wine, most types of coffee drinks (this is a HUGE passion for me), eating yummy food, probably Indian food is my favorite, solace in the mountains, seasons, travel, connections, new things, great conversation.

Music: Greg Brown, Patty Griffin, Danny Schmidt, Ray LaMontagne, Anais Mitchell, Meg Hutchinson, Richard Shindell, Dar Williams, to name a few. I am rather obsessed with folk music, but I truly have an appreciation for most other types of music, and love going to hear live music.
Books: I love the written word. I have many favorite books. I just finished Middlesex and loved it. I also love books of poetry.
