Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
it's not about the places visited, but the people you meet along the way.
ABOUT ME
How can one appreciate their own town, until they've seen more of the world themselves? Well, that was but one of the many questions with which I left my hometown of Melbourne. I've now been on the road since early March 2006, completely devoid of responsibility, having little commitments, and no constraints -- and what a trip it's been! I'm not sure what will stop me travelling, but at the moment, I'm really missing having a kitchen and cooking for myself!
PHILOSOPHY
my personal philosophy is to question other people on theirs, so that perhaps one day I'll have my own. (currently, I suppose its existentialist contrarian, with regular bouts of hedonism)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't yet offered 'my' couch to anyone, as I don't have one. But, whenever/wherever it is that I settle down, I'll certainly be offering the most comfortable of cushions!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't couchsurfed much... but the whole idea of sharing our homes and apartments is just so appealing :)
Interests
so many things I'm not sure my life will be long enough to ever come close to fulfilling them. Interests are constantly changing.
- cooking
- traveling
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm mostly a non-fiction reader... but my favourite book of all time was Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children. Oh... music? well, since my iPod broke I don't have anything, but it was previously loaded with a tonne of indy pop/folk. Current favourite band, as it has been for quite some time....Neutral Milk Hotel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
learned to ride motorbikes in India, on Royal Enfields. Wow... what an adventure!
Teach, Learn, Share
always open to any discussion... from any direction... with, or without justification.
