About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Enjoy Europe and the Middle East This Summer!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 22 year old recent college graduate. I just got my BFA in Film and Television and I've been working on commercials and feature films as a camera technician (I keep the cameras ready to roll at all times.) When I'm not working I enjoy still photography, biking, snowboarding, conversation, Google mapping all the places I hope to some day visit, watching movies, and being in good company. I always enjoy good debates on politics or social issues. I enjoy nightlife and the house music scene.

PHILOSOPHY

Right now I'm really trying to find myself and my artistic direction as a filmmaker. I'd like to say I have some great meta philosophy on life but really I'm just trying to figure things out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf and I host. I've hosted a lot more than I've surfed but I've always had fun with CS. Ever since I first of the CS website I've been fascinated by it and I'm so glad I found this community!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in several countries in Europe and twice in the USA. I've hosted people from all over the world. Also I've been to a few meet ups and met people to give tours of my college town.

Interests

To sum it up in a list: Travel, planning my next trip, photography, movies, cooking (not that I'm any good), house music, conversation and discussing issues/politics, exploring and getting lost, failing horribly at learning new languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

Singin' in the Rain is probably my single favorite film but there are just so many great pieces out there. As a cinematographer I'm usually partial to anything with great cinematography.

I just finished a book called Islands Under Fire, it's memoir of a former professor of mine. It chronicles his role in getting the US Navy to cease weapons training on Puerto Rican islands and is a great read if you get the chance!

For music I like to say I listen to good music. I don't discriminate against genres. That said, I've always been partial to house music and I'm very excited that EDM is on the rise! I love NERVO, Alesso, Nicky Romero, Porter Robinson, and that whole scene.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think some of my solo trips have been the most enlightening experiences. Traveling by yourself is extremely polarizing. On the one hand you benefit from absolute freedom. On the other, you aren't sharing those experiences and it some ways it's almost as if they never existed because of that.
