Build wooden boats, sail as much as possible, do lots of yoga / meditation and be a good father to my amazing daughter.

ABOUT ME

I’m a 47 year old nearly-single father to a beautiful daughter. I live aboard a traditional wooden sailboat I built with my own hands. I’m dedicated to fatherhood, craftsmanship, seamanship and living aboard. My daughter spends part of her time onboard with me.

PHILOSOPHY

follow my heart, live life to the fullest but don't burn the candle at both ends very often.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It’s been a few years since I couchsurfed. I had a great time surfing in Denmark in 2012.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed across West Penobscot Bay, Maine in an open 15 foot wooden sailboat with 200 pounds of ballast stones in the bilge. More recently, I’m proud to say I changed one of my daughter’s diapers while under sail!
