About Me
ABOUT ME
Curious, open-minded, fun-loving.
I am constantly fascinated by the myriad of cultural, food and travel experiences there are out there and how it can be reached by simply striking up a conversation and asking questions. A favourite topic of mine is waste and how good we are at producing it, and more importantly, ways to minimise it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing folk are typically and reliably of a good sort; those who love a good conversation about one's passion or puzzle. I've met some compelling people in my travels and when they mention they are a fellow couchsurfer, I say, "ah, that explains it". I love it!
Interests
I enjoy bushwalking and stopping to look at the plants and birds and other creatures and taking in the scenery.

People who make me laugh: Paul McDermott, Dylan moran
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On my first ever camping trip, i remember poking my head out of the tent to see the mist slowly lifting from the lake to the morning chorus of birds; just magical! Still, it never ceases to make me smile.
Running off a hill to paraglide into a valley overlooking lakes, resting cows, pine trees and the city of Voss, Norway.
Having your clothes eaten by cows while camping on a dairy farm in Mitrovica, Kosovo.
Getting to know the aurora borealis over a month in Churchill, Manitoba.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share fun facts about what we see in nature and whatI have come across in my travels.
I love to learn about the animals, vegetables and minerals I have not yet seen and the people connected with them.
I enjoy sharing stories, food and really bad jokes!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my knowledge of the botany of parts of the world I have visited so far. I can also pull out a few scary statistics on food waste when prompted and some of the cool projects out there that are making a difference in reducing this.
