PHILOSOPHY

I haven't arrived at any convincing conclusion as to why I live. but I guess at the moment its a sort of civilised hedonism.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can host and show people around, host and sit around drinking, talking and singing all night (this is a favourite of mine as i have little money) or people can leave their stuff here while they go adventuring. I am not fussed

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted quite a few people, not as many as I want to but you do what you can. I also havn't surfed as much as I'd like to, but hey take what you need, give what you can.

Jazz, Blues, swing, Classical, neo-classical (selection of), Musical Theatre (a major fan), ballad, folk songs, gyspsy music! ALL THE GYPSY MUSIC! etc.

Love books, can't get enough of them.
Hemingway(clichéd but true, yet to read a bad book by him), Picture of Dorian Gray, War and Peace, Fanny Hill, Livy's histories (will happily devour a historical text), Byron, Shakespeare (naturally). which brings me to my next vice... Theatre!
Love all of Shakespeare, Tom Stoppard and Samuel Beckett. if you have never seen a performance of any of these peoples works you simply must... although I'm not sure word play translates well :(

And also series!
Game of thrones and Archer are a given. love the thick of it, invader zim and many other childhood classics. also coffee but there is no section for that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Caveau des oubliettes in Paris.The music there is incredible! Near saint julien de pauvre in the latin quarter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught myself some guitar over the years and some piano accordian, more than happy to share my puddle of knowledge.

If you know any traditional songs I'm going to constantly pester you to sing them repeatedly until I either figure out the chords or cheat and look them up and try to learn it. songs grandma' used to sing are my favourite targets for songs to learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, I make vague attempts at cleaning and I have a few indigenous Australian dream time stories if you are up for some story time.
