ABOUT ME

I was once in a foreign country on the wrong side of the tracks. I was on my way home when I saw some kids pitching pennies. Not one to disappoint, I joined in. Through some savvy hand signals (I didn't speak the language) things were going well, but I seemed to be recieving my fair share of losses. This wasn't how we played pitch and toss at home! I was almost out of change when I made a bet with one of the kids (little to my knowledge) for two days work on his fathers farm! Loosing this, I knew I had to get out of there so I did what anyone would do, I ran. About 600m down the road I was stopped by a hand on my sholder from what turned out to be the kids father. He dragged me back and showed me to a shovel! Amazingly, with his pig latin we ended getting along quite well, so when he offered me dinner and a bed later that night I happily obliged. The next morning I put in an honest days work and with a handshake I left on my way. I learnt two things in those two days; always carry an open mind, and it turns out the father used to run for Brazil at the olympics!

I see CS as a fantastic networking opportunity and I always enjoy meeting friendly faces!

I will have a couch available on an ad hoc basis.

I'm a pretty easygoing person but I do love a good adventure. I enjoy the great outdoors, meeting interesting people and a good book in a hammock.
