Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Trent - born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. I am a former Consultant, full-time traveller, meditation instructor, and charity worker - now I just work a casual retail job in Glasgow. I love slow travelling, hiking, and experiencing other cultures.
I'm vegan, but I'll try to eat anything I'm served so that no food is ever wasted :) I love animals and nature, especially hiking and camping.
I was hosting in Perth for a while, and have been surfing in Europe and Asia for a few years; now I'm hosting in Glasgow!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Most types of Metal, Prog, Post Rock, Ambient, Indie, Classic Rock and Roll, Hardcore/Metalcore, Indie Electronica, Classical, Jazz. Top 5 in no order are (probably) Sigur Ros, Architects, Tesseract, The National, Bon Iver.
Books: philosophy/spirituality, travel books, history/mythology. Novel-wise I like historical fiction/fantasy fiction, sci-fi - plus a few classics and some surrealist stuff.
Movies: Up for anything but favourites include Donnie Darko, LOTR, Into the Wild, Gattaca, Tracks, Pan's Labyrinth, Silence of the Lambs, Pulp Fiction, Shame, Hunger, Her, Se7en, Studio Ghibli films, Cowspiracy.... horror is always fun, as are any documentaries!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many to list, sorry! Living in the Himalayas was pretty incredible and travel in general is amazeballs. Oh and I once walked almost 4000km from The Netherlands to Turkey, which took 5 months and raised enough money to build a women's school in Nepal.
Teach, Learn, Share
People always tell me I'm full of all kinds of other 'useless' (or useful?) information - mostly historical, random trivia, and philosophical ideas. I can also teach you how to meditate and cook yummy vegan food.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories from my 6+ years on the road, an open and accepting mind, a listening ear, food (always happy to cook), whatever you like really!
