About Me

I've gone from being a van-dwelling nomad, to living in the suburbs of LA County, and now I'm back in my natural habitat - the redwoods of Northern California. I've recently started my own small positive reinforcement dog training and daycare business, which occupies a good deal of my time. I love that I can bring my dogs to "work" with me each day, and that my business is located within my father's beautiful sustainable farm.

I live in a tiny camper with my boyfriend, my two dogs and our cat and we are working on plans to convert a small barn into a living space on my grandma's wooded property. Being back in my hometown after 7 years of wandering about is a really strange feeling - it's almost like being a transplant in the place that somehow still feels most familiar. I am trying to create balance between creating the work space of my dreams, and still having time to pursue other interests and have fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I love to travel, and I'm constantly looking for ways to take that sense of adventure that comes from exploration and instill it in my everyday life. I have hosted and I have surfed and I've loved every minute of it! Now that I don't quite have the space to host, I'm hoping to use CS to get to know my own city better and keep the sense of adventure alive.

Interests

I'm interested in positive dog training, language, in writing, in exciting (vegetarian) foods, in dreams, in thrift shops, in crafts, in body art, in learning, in animal behaviors, in in outdoor adventures.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not really an expert in anything. I can help you understand and train your dog and talk to you about dog behavior and body language. I can share stories, I can teach you the most basic of knitting skills, I can practice Spanish with you, I can give you van life tips, I can chat with you about books. I want to learn Italian, I want to be better at Spanish, I want to learn to be a better cook, I want to learn to play the guitar.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Snacks. Stories. Adventures.
