About Me

I'm looking for good people to meet and talk to about fun things to see and do. Early to bed, early to rise describes me (unless I'm in Europe)

IG: trevertrader

I am a full time nomad and I enjoy exploring ways of living cheap and traveling unconventionally. Cruises have been my latest way of living at low cost and I will have sailed 97 days this year.

With land travel I prefer to visit countries less traveled. Moldova is a great example of this, least touristed country in Europe.

I believe I am a fairly boring guy (not everyone agrees) - I will usually talk your ear off about discounts and bargains and may be mostly quiet the rest of the time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am wanting to make new friends from all over the world, whether it be from hosting or just hanging out.

Interests

I try to research places I visit as little as possible. Expectations can ruin everything.

My hierarchy of importance in meeting a new culture is

Eat
Drink
Meet the people
See the places

If you're eating and drinking then you're in a great position to be meeting people. The people can tell you the places you need to see.

I used to be active as much of the time as possible, the past few years I've become lazy and without routines; I'm looking to change this in 2026. I'm always up for trying something new - especially food / drink.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a fan of most music, EDM and 80s/90s are essential.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited Budapest in 2017. I was supposed to stay for 4 days and instead stayed for two weeks. Visiting this city changed the course of my life. I've returned 6 times since.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm trying to learn to chill out, let things happen. I try to believe we should not worry about anything that is not within our immediate control.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer cooking, cleaning up after myself, advice/listening and friendship.
