Hi, I love to travel and not only see new places, but I also love meeting people from other parts of the world. I really enjoying learning about other cultures and discovering what makes places unique. I love to have fun and simply make new friends while learning more about the world. I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana but I now live in Cooperstown, New York. Music is very important to me as I enjoy listening and playing music (guitar). I play in an Indie-Rock band when I’m not teaching.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to travel more and meet new people so couchsurfing can help me. I hope I can find some nice places to stay and nice people to meet. I have always been fascinated by the world, whether hiking in a beautiful forest or exploring an urban setting. I enjoy the process of learning about different places and people in the world. I am not hosting at the time because I have children and I’m an overly paranoid Dad :).

I love all kinds of music. I tend to read mostly non-fiction about places in the world I find fascinating

Favorite Music: The National, Wilco, Radiohead, Band of Horses, Avett Brothers, Lord Huron, and many others. I’m also a metalhead, so pretty diverse tastes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Siberia a few years ago to conduct some research. It was a dream of mine that finally came true after many years!
