About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently traveling south america. Will look to host again in August when I'm back in Austin.

International guests strongly preferred. Especially ones who speak German, Spanish, or French and are willing to speak with me at least some of the time in their native language.

Currently trying to see and learn as much about the world as possible.

ABOUT ME

I graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln where I studied Spanish and History and am now working as a bilingual teacher (Spanish/English) and going to grad school for a Master's in English as a Second Language.

After graduating, I spent a year teaching English in Guanajuato, Mexico and a semester teaching English in Hamburg, Germany. I also spent a summer teaching English in France. The last three years I have lived in College Station, TX and just recently moved to Austin.
I'm a down to earth person that enjoys a good laugh as much as I enjoy a serious political debate. I have a wide variety of interests including: reading, languages, sports, travel and religion.

Someday, I see myself as a professor at a University. I love America, but after living in Europe and Mexico, have a lot of things I want to change about the U.S.

PHILOSOPHY

Be genuine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed in Europe and in the US and have a couch to offer. If you speak Spanish, German, or French I am especially interested in speaking with you, but am also willing to be patient with people who may not speak English very well.

Because the couch is in the living room, two night max for surfing. Also, while two people could fit on the couch because it is a sectional, it is not necessarily ideal for two people. International guests strongly preferred.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done couch surfing in Germany and France and multiple times in the US, and have had great experiences. Did a sweet road trip down the west coast with a German friend and have surfed with my girlfriend several places. It's awesome to be able to connect with a native of the city you are traveling in and gain a new perspective on a different culture.
