ABOUT ME

I like to see new places, play a little soccer, wander/chase my dog through the woods, contemplate the future of our earthly environment, and hang out with friends. To finance this, I'm an intermittent civil engineer.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone with a desk job should quit and go start a garden in their backyard. If this happened, we'd all be so much happier, healthier, more relaxed, and more in touch with our local environs. And everyone should bake their own bread and brew their own beer as well.

Spread the word about couchsurfing! I've roamed all around the continent using CS, now it's my turn to provide. I've got space to spare!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed on multiple couches in my international and stateside travels, and a bunch now through couchsurfing.com. Met some wonderful people and had some great experiences and parties! I doubt I'll ever travel without CS again.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to just about anything, but bluegrass, old-time, and folk are my jam.
I've never been a big reader, but I'm gettin better about that... I'd recommend Wendell Berry and Bill McKibben to anybody. I could also recommend books about most of the above "Interests" topics. Haven't seen a movie in over a year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a pretty solid knowledge of energy issues in general, most specifically as they relate to Appalachia and Mountaintop Removal. Ask me! Also, I'm always thirsting for more info on alternative building styles and intentional communities, and everything else listed in my interests. Teach me!
