About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Balancing out my love of travel with my career goals! Have a great fit right now so just hoping to ride it out as long as possible!

ABOUT ME

I was born in a very small town in the middle of the USA and loved it! I have an amazing family and still a great group of friends there. I caught the travel bug doing a couple summer back-packing trips around Europe though and have been trying to get out as much as possible since then. I lived and worked in Australia for 6 months after graduation and then traveled a bit more before I headed home. I "settled down" and had a proper job in the USA for 2 years but it just wasn't for me right now.

So I quit that and have been living and working in New Zealand for a while. Not sure where the next step will take me but I'm just trying to enjoy the ride!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed and hope to host in the future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have back packed around Europe a couple times and have been able to surf on a few people's couches. I greatly enjoyed all of my couch surfing experiences!

Interests

I would say I have pretty varied interest and enjoy most activities. I definitely enjoy the outdoors though and try see and experience as much as I can! Particularly I enjoy anything on the water and like to do some hiking. Obviously enjoy sports as well! Enjoy the typical American sports but having lived in New Zealand I gained a new found respect for Rugby and quite enjoy that as well.

Also a big fan of music and food. Love what America has to offer but also love to experience new cultures and meet amazing people along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most music but listen to a majority or Rock, Country and Alternative. I really enjoy books that are able to draw you in right away. Just about every movie! I love to read but if a book doesn't grab my attention in the first few chapters I'm done with it. Enjoy everything from Harry Potter to the Da Vinci Code.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I back packed across Europe, twice!

Getting ready to for the 3rd time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy trying different foods and drinks from all of the world and learning about other cultures. Couch surfing makes that so much easier and makes traveling so much more rewarding.

As for what I can teach you. Well I don't know that I would consider myself an expert at anything. I suppose I can try to fill people on why we love American Football so much and how the game is played.

My education is in finance so I guess I can also teach you how to save money to go on more trips!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm definitely not a chef but know a few things and always enjoy cooking a meal

I mainly just want to share a beer or glass of wine with my host and enjoy some great conversation!

Countries I’ve Visited
