Centres d'intérêt

Creating lists (and checking them off) excites me.
The theatre leaves me a little more complete than I was before.
The mountains bring me closer to God.
Serving the needs of others keeps me sane and alive.
Travelling humbles me.
Conversations, silent ones included, inspires me.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music
I am sometimes embarrassed by the playlists on my phone. It consists mainly of musicals, disney, instrumentals and Christian music. Reserved solely for personal enjoyment. Listen at your own risk.

Movies
I do not have a particular genre that I enjoy. It all depends on my mood and the particular season of life that I am in.

Books
I find myself enjoying biographies or anything that speaks truth and inspiration. I do, however, wish I read more.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Suing my Landlord for my security deposit while I was doing a work stint in the US! I was twenty, young and fearless. Did I mention how I constantly surprise myself?

Crossing one of the world's deadliest roads (as quoted on Discovery Channel) from Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir, on a local bus. Think: Worn-out tyres, broken bridges and very narrow mountain roads. Not the best combination, trust me.

Due to an error in booking, I found myself stuck in the General Class cabin of an Indian train for 13 hours. It is also known as the "Unreserved" Class, offering the richest experience with the cheapest tickets. Even the locals looked at us in disbelief.

A 52-hours train journey across Kazakhstan showed me the kindness and love of complete strangers. I was alone and spoke very little Russian but everyone I met on that train treated me like family.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

One of the "legacies" that I left as an exchange student was how to fold a plastic bag into little triangles. It is highly therapeutic, really.
