I love the outdoors. I am more at home in nature, out in the bush, under the stars and in endless fields of golden grass than between 4 walls. I have never been able to understand why man has chosen to use freedom to construct prisons and less so how we are all so eager to live in these prisons. Nonetheless, I have developed a passion for being in nature as often as I can escape from town. If I am not out kayaking, mountain biking or trekking then you will find me camping somewhere. I am a loner...yet not a loner. I am an easy going person with respect for people from all walks of life. We can't judge people for things we know knowing about?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting people with a passion nature and I want those fellow nature and trekking lovers to experience the "real" South Africa"...the way us locals do...because bru....there are very few things as remarkable as falling asleep in a cave in the Drakensberg looking up at a sky filled with endless arrays of stars, or in the bush hearing the jackals cry. Going on organised treks in our amazing country can be expensive if you do it through tour or trekking companies and I believe this to be the same in other countries. If you want to do a trek or hike in SA, long or short feel free to let me know. If I can't go with you I'll definitely be able to hook you up with some great people or clubs. And there is no need to worry about gear...we have extras ....:)

Interests

I am also very interested in philosophy, psychology and human behavioural sciences ....but I prefer sharing these views in person and having discussions rather than making absolute statements.
