About Me
"Still waters run deep"
This is not something a potential sociologist should actually say (:D) but I am always looking for the hint of good in everything, trying to make the world a better place. One part of me is a romantic dreamer mixed with the wish to constantly explore and the other part is a dedicated hard-worker.
Lived my whole 21 years of life in a small Estonian town, I was lucky enough to move to Rotterdam in January 2017 to discover what this city has to offer. This experience has been something out of this world, something I could not predict even in my wildest dreams, something I did not know existed. Although my exchange semester here is coming to an end, my heart will live in Rotterdam forever.
One of my favourite thoughts from Estonian poet Hando Runnel goes like this:
Change yourself or stay true to yourself, either way you will change the world,
not much, but you are big enough to make it count;
if there are million people who are, who stay, who can, who change, who do, for an example,
something rather powerful becomes visible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I now know the meaning behind the saying: life begins at the end of your comfort zone and that is exactly what couchsurfing offers. It helps me to go and live, breathe, grow, meet and learn :)
