ABOUT ME

I don't watch TV, i do other stuff with my mind and body...

for the last year i have been living in Bali, writing, recording and playing music.

I try to complete one album every year, sometimes i do more.

my music is finely constructed, my lyrics are often sociopolitical/activist/freedom fighter type stuff, but always with a poetical twist.

i like sad music.

i can usually take broken things apart and fix them, my motto is: if a human made it, then a human can fix it.

i eat mostly food made from vegetables. sometimes when i listen to my body it tells me to eat a lamb kebab... other than that, almost everything i eat is vegetarian and ORGANIC. good food is important to me. i will always turn down a glass of coca cola, and i would rather go hungry than to eat a Mcdonalds burger.

PHILOSOPHY

do everything with a smile, even if it can't be seen.
all life is connected - that connection is what i call GOD.
live and let live, unless they are doing it wrong :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like people, but often have no space for them to stay. I currently live with my partner and her daughter in a very open plan style house - so it's difficult to offer a place to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only stayed with friends, but once in France i was invited to stay with a hitchhiker we picked up - he lived on a farm in a 300 year old stone house. it was like going back in time. In the morning he walked off to a neighbouring farm to get some homemade cheese for breakfast. He didnt have much, but shared with an open heart.

Interests

i'm into living as lightly on the planet as possible - recycling/reusing. not living in excess. I don't like to participate in consumerism, and think humans are smart enough to govern themselves.

organic gardening, when i'm in one place long enough.

i try to change thought patterns (and the world) with the music and videos i make. As i change myself, i change the world around me.

Music, Movies, and Books

secret life of plants (book/doco) - i like lots of doco's and films, but usually stay away from hollywood blockbusters, or time wasting tv series, like breaking bad. i reckon those shows exist to waste peoples create times.

music: funk, soul, electronic, hip hop, blues, reggae, the beatles etc

i spend more time making my own music and videos, than watching others.
