About Me

I'm an undergrad student at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. I am studying computer science and business, and I have a part-time job managing the website of a conservation company called Platte Basin Timelapse. I have lived most of my life near Omaha, Nebraska with my parents, step-parents, and five siblings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd just like to summarize this section with a quote from one of my favorite movies, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty:

To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Overall I like most rock/edgy punk music- but I was raised on, and still enjoy, 80s music and a lot of Johnny Cash. Top songs that come to mind right now are Drops of Jupiter by Train, and Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) by Looking Glass. Top Bands are Weezer, the Beatles, Tally Hall, Front Porch Step, and the Front Bottoms.

Movies: So far, these are among my top favorites: Avatar (James Cameron), The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Interstellar, and the Lord of the Rings series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started managing a website for a company with absolutely no experience handling front-end/website code. Confidence and eagerness to learn and be a part of something can take you really far. Luckily, I was able to pick it up really fast, and I am now doing a fine job handling their site and developing new pages for them!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to give any tips I can about using and operating computers, managing a website, etc. I also have taken some business courses for school and try to stay up to date with the world market, so if you ever want to talk about that, we certainly can!

I'd really like to learn to be more in touch with nature. Nature has so much to offer us, and I want to appreciate it as much as I can in my life to learn how to better give back to it as I live.
