ABOUT ME

We are a very relaxed, easy-going, content and happy couple. We've been married since 2010, but have been together since 2005.

We do not have any kids, but recently welcomed a Newfoundland puppy, Murphy, into our lives. She is an incredibly sweet and loving girl, and now we can't imagine life without her. Her laid-back, calm demeanor is punctuated very occasionally by rambunctious puppy moments.

Chris is a native North Carolinian (his family has been there for over 400 years!) but calls Oregon home for now. Jessica is a west coast girl and has lived in Montana, Oregon, Washington, and BC. We're not sure where we'll end up but for now, we are loving life in Portland and feel very thankful to live in such a great city! We're walking distance to downtown, Forest Park, Hoyt Arboretum, and hundreds of shops and restaurants. For city life, we couldn't have a better location.

So far we have only hosted, but would love to surf as well!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted several couchsurfers in our apartment in downtown Portland, OR. Each experience has been very positive, whether our guests have wanted to engage and get to know us, or whether they were content to just use our apt as a home base to explore the city. We've met some interesting people this way, and have really appreciated getting to share our home with some people whose paths may not have otherwise crossed with ours.

Interessen

Anything outdoors: hiking, cycling, disk-golfing, backpacking, snoeshowing, etc. Exploring our neighborhood, city, state, and beyond! Beer, food, wine. Meeting interesting people. Anything that includes our wonderful dog, Murphy!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

It's difficult to think of one monumental thing, but I'm often amazed in every day life, usually by nature in the form of beautiful light, clouds, plants, etc.
