About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see any and every city & country through the eyes of those who live there & taking my wife and daughter along with us :)Also currently trying to learn Czech language. If anyone is Czech message me, as my czech is very basic!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a town of 800 people in Rural America. Since then I have escaped many times to Europe and have worked there and in Australia. Australia is where I met my Czech wife Lucie in the swimming pool of our apartment building. Lucie is from a small town in Czech Republic called Podmolky, which has about 50 people! From there we traveled to Thailand and Hong Kong briefly, then started to live together and eventually married and stayed in Prague where my wife was a nurse and me a tour guide. We have relocated to South Florida around 2012 and have been here ever since :)

PHILOSOPHY

To educate myself and others though our travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Attend events and occasionally host.
Took over the Thursday night meet up in Ft. Lauderdale one summer with help of friends and moved it around to various places. By the time I passed it to Marcos we had one, big happy family; which continues to grow under Marcos and has become bigger and better. So if you are in Ft. Lauderdale on a Thursday, you must go to his events!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfed was in Toronto with Burnin Steph and then met another for coffee and a small walk around Toronto and another for a salsa lesson. I travelled through New Orleans and Austin staying with some great people. Also was in Australia and took advantage of the the group events and met some really cool people through those.
Also on July 4, 2014 was a Ft. Lauderdale event hosted by the lovely Oneil, where I met some of the original "Magical 7" crew and lifelong friends to this day!

Interests

Travel, video games, writing, reading, further education movies, swimming and more. Lucie has the same interests minus the whole video games thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Indiana Jones Series, most any martial arts (Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Tony Jaa), any action/spy movies, 80’s classics and more! Lucie -thrillers!

Music: All kinds for my wife and I. I mostly love EDM and rock. Avcii is truly a legend, touching all musical genres and his talent, thankfully, will live on those who he has and will inspire now and into the future!

Books: Travel related books like Bill Bryson, Rick Steve’s, etc. Also classics, spy novels and the odd autobiography. Lucie's favorite author would be Paulo Coelho.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I have traveled to many different places and have many travel secrets and trivia about Europe as a result of the tour guide gig.
Learn: I always want to know more about the destination that I go to as well; off the beaten path and more of where the locals go and chill out.
