About Me

My insatiable curiosity makes it hard to be just one person. I split my time between wondering what this life thing is, and enjoying the hell out of it.

Most recently: I just moved back to the US from NZ to settle down, teach relational mindfulness and contact improvisation to actors, and am working with a non-profit think tank on how to create spaces for cultural change, and have fallen in love with capoeira (a Brazilian dance-fight martial art)

Less recently: designer+engineer for hardware/software products, installation artist, dance enthusiast

Less less recently: studied black holes as a physicist, ran a maker space, taught students how to make robots at university

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My partner and I are deciding where to live next. We want to visit a few cities and really get a feel for the local culture - the people is what's most important to us. We're hoping Couch Surfing will be a great way to do that :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I've explored a lot in life, and am always happy to share about what I've seen an learned. I've gone down the rabbit hole of understanding how the universe works thru physics, then turned to comparative religious studies to understand that perspective. I've lived in a variety of intentional communities, built startups from scratch, and created festivals to celebrate play and creativity.
