Overview
About Me
My favorite things include dogs, bikes and vegan food. I'm especially interested in simple living and healthy eating (somewhat related topics). I love to hike and read, though haven't done much of either lately - most of my down time these days is spent on travel logistics.
Originally from Ohio, I've also lived in Missouri, Washington D.C., Oregon, France and the Czech Republic. I was an Airbnb host in Eugene, Oregon for eight years, and loved connecting with travellers in my home.
Currently on a global mission to find my next home base.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Like most folks, I love making new friends and gaining new perspectives, particularly when travelling solo.
One of the biggest perks of travelling is finding out how people in other parts of the word live, think, eat and play, which is much easier to do when staying with a local (native or expat). Seeing authentic living spaces, especially apartments, is so interesting to me! Always nice to get the insider's scoop on life in each city/country as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I taught English in the Czech Republic for two years.
More recently, I started travelling in an open-ended sort of way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I had a professional organizing business for seven years. I will eagerly share with you everything I know on the subject of decluttering and simplifying.
Also happy to share travel tips and tricks - I've picked up a few in the past year!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation and stories! I'm very interested in how people make their way through life, how they make decisions about where to go and what to do, etc. I'd love to hear how you live your life, where you've been, where you'd like to go, what inspires you, what keeps you engaged or just what you eat for breakfast. (It is the most important meal of the day, after all.)
As a guest, I'm very clean, tidy, quiet, considerate and self-sufficient. Although I travel light, I'm almost always carrying dark chocolate and happy to share.
