ABOUT ME

i have itchy feet. i'm playful. i make myself laugh. my favorite candies are haribo gummy bears and ginger candy - yum! ^_^ i am often accused of asking too many questions and, on occasion, saying things that i shouldn't say. i can't help it - i have an endless inquisitive view of the world. ever seen those kids put on leashes by their parents? yeah, i was one of those! hmm...what else? i'm personable, a little more introverted than extroverted, and i can be boisterous and mellow all at the same time!

PHILOSOPHY

i hold my life in front of me with open hands, and i really believe in sharing with others what i have been blessed with...treat others as you would have them treat you =)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

hmm...i've only surfed/crashed friend's couches and more often than not, they always initiate the idea of me sleeping on their couch - i guess that's a good sign. as far as they're concerned (and as far as i know), i have not left behind an unhappy host yet!

Music, Movies, and Books

amelie, motorcycle diaries, billy elliott, gattaca, city of lost children, whale rider - a strong storyline with something to say, with characters i can sink my teeth into!

favorite books? the last modern book i truly loved reading was memoirs of a geisha (i'm a picky reader). other than that, i always find myself returning to catcher in the rye, wuthering heights, the voyage of the dawn treader and a wrinkle in time =) poetry counts, right? my favorites are neruda and bukowski (love is a dog from hell - read it!) =)

music? oh geez...i have a voracious appetite for music. but i tend to lean towards singer songwriter-y things and classical jazz - i'm currently obsessing over rodrigo y gabriela and charlie parker...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hiking in the Andes. seeing Machu Picchu with my own eyes. can we say epiphany? Peru was one of the more recent defining moments in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

hmm...i can teach you how to sew (it's part of my profession), play the guitar (i've been playing since i was 16), or knit!!! i love learning about different cultures and history, history, history!
