My mother installed wanderlust in me at a very young age with trips to the lake and the ocean. I seem to have an affinity to water so I find myself seeking out places on the beach, serene lake retreats, natural hot springs, waterfalls, even the bustle of popular skiing lakes with jet ski access.

My son and I took a cross-country roadtrip to Oregon and down the California coastline through Area 51, the Grand Canyon and Colorado this summer so I'm hoping to pass on the tradition of being fascinated with the natural beauty that surrounds, enlivens and spiritually heals us. We're big fans of quirky little towns that inspire a little mystery and sometimes a chuckle. Our biggest delight is getting a suggestion from a local on a hidden gem.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Month long camping road trip with my 14 year old....hot springs, hiking Mt. Shasta, alien research center, trying to find bigfoot, staring at the stars, teaching my kiddo to build fire and campfire cook.
