Overview
About Me
I’m taking a break from work to travel the world for a few months, starting in May with Bali, Indonesia! Next up, Southern Africa! After that, I don’t know yet, we’ll see what happens. I haven’t done too much international travel in my life yet but I really want to change that before I turn 30. I’m very excited as this is something I’ve wanted to do for years, COVID disrupted my plans to originally do this after finishing university back in 2020.
I’m from Washington DC USA. m a big fan of the outdoors and think there’s so much to see in the world. Some of my favorite outdoor hobbies include hiking, skiing, and camping, but I’ll try anything at least once. I’ve been to 47 out of the 50 U.S. States and have lived in Texas, Florida, Arizona, Alabama, Virginia, and Missouri. I’ve also been to 43/63 of the U.S. National Parks, and hope to visit them all at some point.
I’m also a photographer and part of what drives my travel bucket list is places where I can capture unique photos. Hard to get to places in nature that require a lot of hiking/backpacking is my style, and gives me a bit of a chance to feel like an old-school adventurer/explorer @tristanschuler
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I haven’t yet surfed a couch, because this is my first time traveling solo and not quite ready for that part of the journey yet. I also haven’t had my own home to host anyone yet, because owning property in the USA where I live is crazy expensive. however, I would love to still meet and hangout with fellow solo travelers or locals on the meantime
