Overview
About Me
Born in Gauteng South Africa, having moved home in many areas of the province. I was culturally brought up in a mash up of an Irish/German/South African setting.
My family and friends are my world! We all need some good people in our lives!
I'm generally a really easy going laid back open, honest person and like to be respectful of people and their view points. I also love to learn of and explore new things and I'm always partial to being enlightened to expand my knowledge.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet and mingle with the alluring world. Multifarious people and of course places, there is to ponder... To be learned! I hold interest in learning new cultures, ways different from what I've come to know. Really, to further explore my abilities and to expand on what I know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Successfully walked the St James's route of the Camino De Santiago. Another memory was snorkelling in Mozambique, in a channel coming from the open ocean... Walking over a dune, I met a setting that held me in awe! A pristine beach with squeaky soft sand, leading directly onto a rocky reef, followed by a small drop off into open water nestled between another reef about 200m out. I jumped in and wow, truly a different world! Marine life in every direction, it was the most arbitrary thing to see massive schools of Barracuda and Giant Kingfish swimming through the channel, just of the shoreline...
What I Can Share with Hosts
A little insight to anyone wanting to visit South Africa. It truly is a beautiful country and very culturally diverse. The lingo can be a bit confusing to foreigners! I know of a good few places to check out and can help with teaching a few general phrases of the local languages.
