About Me

I am a passionate. I love nature, in its every aspect, from the chemestry of water to sunsets. I respect life of every individuals, no mater its nature. I'm trying to be vegan but I must say it is hard already to be vegetarian since I moved to France.
I am a honest person, true to myself and sincer towards people. My many trips around the world made me very open minded; I enjoy tasting new food, learning new languages. An unkown language is always a melody to me. It is the true taste of travel. I am a pro-autonomy person and I am not scared of being alone somewhere I don't know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because it is to me the best way to jump head first in the culture of the country. Having lived in Norway for a year, being part of the household with locals is always an honor and a privilege. It is where I can truly learn the inner culture, the one that each and other carry. Being hosted is always a great moment to share and can be the spark to start a great friendship.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music

I listen to a vast variety of music, from hip-hop to alternative, jazz or even electro. I enjoy listening to worl music, even if I don't understant the lyrics (especialy in German and Spanish). Here are my fav of the moment:

Dave Matthew's Band (Latino Jazz-Rock)
Karnivool (Alternative)
Sade (Soul & Jazz)
Thievery Corporation (Lounge/bossa nova)
Harry Manx (folk/hindustani)
Manu Militari (French canadian rapper)
Mac Miller (American rapper)

Not much of a movie watcher I must say, been through few series though, such as Breaking Bad, Dexter, Walking Dead (dropped after 4 season) and right now Vikings, Hannibal and Daredevil.

I like reading more than watching television. Here are a few titles I deeply recommand:

Fantastic (but not that much)

The King's Blade (Dave Duncan)

Philosophic

Paolo Coelho (Veronika decides to die, The Alchemist, The Pilgrimage)

Scientific

The Grand Desing (Stephen Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left Canada when I was 17 to go live a year in Norway in a host family.

Teach, Learn, Share

I did 12 years of drumming, so if you are interested in learning the basics of it (or percussion), just tell me!

I am a judoka for more than 10 years now, so I have enough knoledge to teach a few self-defense moves if you feel the need ;)

I have a high interest in botany, growing plants and flower is a magnificent art. Though I don't know much since I never had a true garden on my own.

As a son of a baker and cook, I know the basics of baking and cooking: the kitchen is my second home :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my travel experiences, wich are growing in number. I can talk a lot about integration and assimilation since I lived abroad in two different countries. I can share some aspect of my culture (cook typical dishes for example). Most important, I can share my time, because that's what I have most; I'm always willing to give a hand in manual works.
