One of our first Couchsurfing experiences was in Nelson, New Zealand (north side of the south island), I met a Chris Hardy in a sushi bar. I was hesitant at first when he offered me his couch, but I accepted. I had only planned on staying one day, but ended up staying three. I explored the city, the beautiful beaches and the restaurants. Chris made me breakfast the last day and gave me advice to "keep a part of myself in New Zealand." Nelson and Chris will always hold a place in my memories and heart.
