Hi I'm Trista from the United States. I've been living in Shanghai, China as a Preschool (Nursery/Early Childhood) teacher since 2015. I'm passionate about travel, health, adventures, and enjoying various forms of artistic expression (dancing, painting, crafting, stand up comedy to name a few favorites). I'm brand new to couch surfing and although I cannot currently return the favor of hosting right now, I hope to get the ball rolling and make it a new way to meet people from around the world. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm embarking on my first solo adventure to new countries where I don't know anyone. I'm hoping this will be the best way to get real information on what it's like to live somewhere, not just visit. I'm hoping to make real connections and maybe some new friends :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sold everything and bought a one way ticket to Shanghai, China without knowing anyone there. Decided I was going to make a bold move and figure the rest out as I went. So far, so good :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm only intermediate, but I can teach hula hooping and Mandarin Chinese. If someone better at either of these skills could teach me, that's also great :) I'd love to share a small gift from China if I know far enough in advance where I'm staying.
