About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Tasting simple pleasure of home country for a while =)
ABOUT ME
I'm kind of a culture sponge. Everything around me amazes me, except maybe the poshy and I-know-everything people. So talking to people you don't know especially in a language you ignore, reading books about subjects you've never heard before, sleeping in unknown places after meeting by chance people in the street, tasting some food you'd never had thought you could feed yourself with, all of that I love.
And no matter what the language I tend to craft complicated sentences with intricate vocabulary. I think I try to express what I really feel, and furthermore the usage of an existing though rare word gives me a pleasure I can't get rid of, notwithstanding the fact it colours your sentence...that's me :o) But because no one is perfect the structure is sometimes hazardous, so feel free to correct me if it happens.
PHILOSOPHY
Smile to life and she (life in French is feminine and I prefer it this way :o) ) will react the same =)
People who are late are usually of a better nature than the ones who have been waiting for them.
Whatever the journey, the purpose of a it is of much less importance than the path it induces you traveling on.
Travel unconcerned, cherish slowness, open you soul.
Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed - Mohandas Gandhi
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Participating in CS events, giving the best of myself when I'm at people's place and I wish I could do a bit of translation, but while traveling no time now...I keep it for a future and hypothetical settled life !
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Having hosted people when I had a flat, making them discover surprising Paris and having good time together, now I'll be the one asking for...and if I find time I can be a translator on this site as well :o)
