About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Same thing we do every night, Pinky.

ABOUT ME

He attacked everything in life with a mix of extraordinary genius and naive incompetence, and it was often difficult to tell which was which.

PHILOSOPHY

My drawing was not a picture of a hat. It was a picture of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel around a lot due to my job. The CouchSurfing project is fantastic as it allows me to meet local people (or non-local people that moved there) to meet up for a cup of coffee, for dinner or for a stroll through a foreign city or going out. It allows me to learn about foreign places not by tourist books but by the stories, anecdotes and memories of people that are actually living there.

Interests

Waking up in the morning, you open a window, you feel a cold, refreshing breeze on your face, and you feel the cold, humid air as you see rain pouring down outside. You get a hot cup of coffee in your hand, inhale its incensing smell, stand by the open window, and you can't help but think what a great day is going to lay ahead of you.

If you can enjoy that moment, you will enjoy my company.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think the two books which affected me most are Le Petit Prince by Saint-Exupery and Siddharta by Hermann Hesse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove down a mountain bike track on a mountain in Switzerland on a unicycle.

By a chain of coincidences, I ended up in slums in South Africa eating grilled crayfish.

By accident, I went to a Persian New Year celebration in Istanbul and had a fantastic night dancing with Iranian people to Persian music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn new skills. I learned riding a unicycle a year ago, I learned riding horses recently, and the next thing on my list that I want to learn is probably sailing. And once I became a seasoned sailor, I shall get an anchor tattoo on my biceps.

Countries I’ve Visited
