Overview
About Me
So, hello everyone. My name is Yoga. I was born in Pemalang (part of Central Java, Indonesia) and now I'm staying in Jakarta since September 2014. I rent a small house with my wife and sister. That's why I think I cannot accept a guest because i don't have a spare bedroom, the rest is just a living room. I don't have a garage so that in every night, there also 2 motorcycle in living room. .lol. So, the possible way for me to CS is just to be a local guide and maybe doing some trip together.
I am 26 years old. I'm humble, easy going and of course I like to travel. Hehe. . My first trip abroad was Singapore and Malaysia (2014) and then in 2015 I was doing solobackpacker to Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka) and South Korea (2016-Seoul and Jeju). My type of travelling is "backpacker". So, I love to do some travel with low budget. I also like photography and blogging. For me, -until now- my dream is be a travel writer. So, from early 2017 I promise to write or review every trip that I done before.
When you ask me which one you like better? Sightseeing in city or nature? I choose nature. But, when I go for photography, I like human, candid and street photography. I'm muslim. I don't drink an alcohol. So when you ask me where is the place to drink, I really don't know. hehe. .
Indonesia have many different culture and languages. Indonesia also have many islands from Sabang (Nangroe Aceh Darussalam) to Merauke (Papua). Thats why for me, exploring Indonesia and share with people arround the world is great. I can teach you my native language, javanese and also Indonesia. I hope that I can help you all to make good itinerary in some part in Indonesia. And if I have free time, let's doing some trip together. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, being CS is not about saving money, but rather about making new friends, meeting new people and learning about different cultures around the world. For me, meeting people with different culture is awesome. We can talk about everything in my way or your way. hehe. . I belive that god create us in many ethnicities in order for us to know each other.
Interests
I've joined Indonesian Scout Movement as a boy scout since my elementary years. That has made me into camping, hiking and every activity in the nature. My hometown is near the biggest volcano in Central Java. So, when I go to beaches, It's kinda some another places that I rarely visit. Hehehe. . I also like photography. Because for me, travel without photography is like a pizza without a sauce (for Indonesian). hehe . .

Music, Movies, and Books
I like every single genre of music so I don't consider my self as a big fan of a particular genre. Sometimes I like to hear reggae, sometimes pop, etc. I also like traditional music from Java, keroncong. I would love to introduce you to the traditional music when we finally meet.
I like to watch action, sci-fi and adventure movies.
The latter is the genre that I like the most.
Everest, The Wildest Dream, 127 Hours, Meru, Himalaya, WIld (Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail), are among the most awesome movies that I ever watched.
I also like to watch varieties show like Running Man (Korean show). I think it's a good show for tourism :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
All of my trip was really amazing. Doing solo backpacker in Japan, climbed the mountain, learn taste of coffee lol. For me It's a great thing. I don't know the reason, I just like it :)
Teach, Learn, Share
- When you go to Indonesia, I could help you starting with your itinerary. such as, which island you wanna visit, how can you get the cheapest transportation, etc.
- For me, now I really want to visit Europe and America. In America, I just wanna go trekking in Pasific Crest Trail. I hope I can get information how to prepare doing that. Hehe. . I really apreciate if you could share your itinerary for every country you've visited. It would give me more reference, so that I can make my own itinerary for my future trip.
