About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Gather as many experiences as possible

ABOUT ME

I'm 22 and studying for my MRes in Ocean Science at the University of Southampton. Before that I did my undergrad in Alaska and before that I was at home in Prescott, Arizona. My dad was in the air force and so I was raised overseas, this is what inspired my desire to travel. I joined couch surfing about a year ago I think, and have only been able to travel a couple of times due to school life. I recently moved from a one bedroom to a studio so I no longer have a couch but would still love to support the community via coffee drinks and jolly banter.

PHILOSOPHY

Experiences, whether good or bad, are the gifts from life.I'm going to steal a quote here (but it's a good one): "though you may not know all the steps, you must learn to join the dance"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a college student, one of the biggest issues I have with traveling is the cost, which is one reason why I love couch surfing. I've also found the other great things about couch surfing is that you get to meet new people and people who are locals of the area. It provides a whole new experience. I've surfed in California and Alaska and both experiences were amazing.

Interests

Meeting many many people. Seeing as much of the world as possible. Everything to do with the ocean. Having new experiences. Learning new things. I have a ton of hobbies including; learning violin, drawing, fire-spinning, poi. I'm pretty much addicted to experiencing as many new (and safe) things as possible, I don't think I'll ever be satisfied enough to stop learning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in 3 different countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I'm a marine biologist who did specialize in cephalopods I can tell all about Octopuses (including the correct plural form) :) But honestly I feel some of the most profound lessons you learn from people, they didn't even realize they were teaching.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Iceland, United Kingdom, United States
