About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live, love, laugh, and EAT!!!

ABOUT ME

I have two very different sides to myself. When I'm in a new situation, or around people I don't know very well, most people would call me quiet and kind of shy. This is actually my 'observation phase' where I check out everything going on around me to see how much of myself I can let loose without looking like a complete and utter misfit amongst polite society. As long as the people around are chill, I quickly become the first one in the room with a smile and a one-liner for pretty much any situation. I love everyone, as long as they don't suck!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet. Teach me your ways people! I don't bite, I swearz.

Interests

One of my first real passions in life was cooking. Having a Colombian mother and grandmother making family dinners pretty much every night meant there was never a shortage of recipes to learn or prep tasks to help with. I don't know if I'll ever be able to compete with my mom's rice, but my Colombian chicken or handmade hamburgers are pretty much to die for. I'm always looking to trade recipes with people too. You show me your secrets, I'll show you mine!
More recently, I have discovered that I also love to dance.. This was kind of a shock to me, because up until about a year ago I would have told you that dancing in public was only slightly more enjoyable than getting a root canal sans anesthetic. One rave was all it took to completely change my mind though. Now adays, get me in a room with some grimy electro or dubstep and I'm a happy, shuffling maniac.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

EDC 2011 was a big moment in my life. Seeing 200,000 people come together for the love of EDM, dancing and just having a fucking blast was pretty eye-opening for me. There are tons of awesome people in this world. I wish we could all just treat each other with as much warmth and openness in the real world as we felt in the desert those glorious 3 nights.
My next big adventure is soon to come. I've never been to any continents outside the Americas, but my Sister and I are about to embark on a little tour of Europe. I can't wait to meet amazing people and see amazing things that just don't exist on this side of the pond.
