About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living life to the fullest, doing my best to ensure I remember it's all about the journey, not the destination as I trip, stumble and pirouette through my days
ABOUT ME
I grew up overseas. Getting to travel all over Europe and meet all different sorts of people was easily the best part of the experience. I left Belgium in 2005 to go to college in Fargo, ND. After college, I went back to Belgium for a couple of years to work on my master's, do some more traveling and to do some volunteer work.
I am a total klutz -- clumsy, directionally-challenged, and as un-coordinated as they come -- which makes me pretty much as non-judgemental, welcoming and open as can be. I have no strong religious or political connections, though I do believe in common courtesy, decency and sense.
PHILOSOPHY
First and foremost: Always be kinder than necessary, for you never know what battles other people are fighting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to host and surf :) What a fantastic way to see the world!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As of right now, none, but hopefully that will soon change.
Interests
I love to travel, learn all sorts of new things, meet new people, bake, pretend to be an artist, dance in the rain and feel sunshine on my shoulders and occasionally windburn on my cheeks.
I love reading, listening to music, sweeping and going on roadtrips.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to most anything that I can sing along to... Unless I can't speak the language, then it just have to have a good beat :)
I'm slowly sliding back into reading for fun after all of my forced reading for grad school -- Currently on my nightstand: Next Queen of Heaven, the Fountainhead, and the Book Thief.
Movies: The only movie genre I will absolutely not watch is gory-horror. Thrillers are fine, and some horror movies that don't involve chopped off limbs and spurting blood every five seconds are okay. Otherwise -- I'll watch anything once.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Everytime I think I've done the most amazing thing in my life, I do something else - so I'll just leave this section with one word:
LIVING!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always willing to help with translation, conversing in French... I'm not too great with teaching grammar, etc., but I can always talk :)
I love to bake, but I'm a terrible cook, I love history with a passionate zeal (feel free to stop me if I ever go overboard).
I've had a guitar for three years and still don't know how to play it -- I've been slowly teaching myself chords, but we'll see where it goes :)
