About Me

CURRENT MISSION:
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends. – Maya Angelou

ABOUT ME:
I left the States in March of 2012 and since then I have been fortunate enough to have traveled through 19 countries thus far including all of Central America, parts of South America, and most of South East Asia. I'm an easy going individual that seeks to interact with the world and be a collector of memories and not of things. I look for ways to get involved in the communities that I visit and love meeting new people and sharing ideas and listening to others stories. I also have a quick wit and a sarcastic sense of humor. You can catch me in everything from a spontaneous dance off to hiking through jungles or climbing volcanoes through the night to reach the summit at sunrise.

PHILOSOPHY:
Explore. Dream. Discover.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING:
Well since I'm traveling I try to participate by broadening my view of the world and sharing the experiences I've had in other countries to try and encourage other people to travel, understand and learn about social issues that the media isn't covering, and make new friends along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE:
Fortunately I've had all very positive experiences with the surfers I've hosted and look forward to staying with them again on my journeys as well as making new friends along the way.
