Hi, I‘m Lena and I travel with my Love- and Livepartner Jan. We quit our jobs and our flat and are traveling since March 2018 and loving it. We are very interested in meeting other people and discovering new cultures in the world. We already spend a couple of month in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Philippines and Indonesia. currently we are in NSW Australia. We like food from all over the world and love to cook. Also we are interested in free diving and trying it as often as possible on our travel. And Lena likes yoga a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We like to meet new people and find new friends. It is so much nicer to get in contact with local people and discover from another perspective, than staying in a strange hotel. Our door is always open to travelers from all over the world.
We ofert our couch already to many travelers, but without an account here.
We had friends from Puerto Rico, Turkey, Australia, many Europeans and from USA in our home. We like to cook together with a glass of wine or a beer or tea. We like to play card games and go out with our new friends and show our guests our favorite places in Germany and Stuttgart. Jan likes football and likes to go to the local stadium with old and new friends. Lena likes Yoga and after so many classes, maybe can show and teach a bit.

Interests

We Love to explore new cultures and have conversations about everything. We are also nature lovers. Go for a walk or a hike and breath fresh air. We like cooking and we are vegetarians, but we don’t have a problem with sharing the table with non veggies. We like traveling and doing it since seven month. Jan is a football Fan and also like to discover local matches in all countries. We like art and architecture. Lena studied art and worked on social art projects and Jan is an architect. We like to discover everything new. While our traveling we like to explore nice landscapes by trekking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On a ferry to Lombok we met an Indonesian guy who invited us to stay with his family in his house in Mataram. Even though the earthquakes of Lombok just happened, we all had to sleep in a tiny tent due to safety reasons. First we wanted to stay there only one night, but the family and all the neighbors were so friendly we ended up staying there for one week. The local people were very nice and kind to us. We learned a few Indonesian words and sentences, how to cook Indonesian food, how to play football without shoes and so much more. had a great time spending with the family and all the children.
