我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

🛋 I have never really believed a commercial travel guide would spend unpaid time to tell me stories of life beyond the hours of tour package itineraries. Thus, meeting individuals who can equally share time and conversations would be best when traveling. I deem that people who I would meet through Couchsurfing would have the same interest in sharing thoughts and stories, because I would love to hear theirs, and I would also like to share mine (may be over some meals, drinks, or at a party).

兴趣

🍽 I, generally, love to eat (and cook, sometimes). Although I am not a fan of spicy/hot dishes, I would try to get a taste of something interesting to my palate (but let's skip insects, internal organs, maggots, and endangered species). I always look forward to the sweetness of desserts!
🎭 I like to see performing arts whenever I go places, or maybe visit some places of worship, or centuries-old ruins, or some time in a museum or gallery. They tickle my senses and inspire me to design and work on personal art pieces. They equip me with knowledge that I can share through lectures on design.
🎶 Music touches me in many ways. It is food for the soul, whatever the genre. Folk and world music is of interest, whenever I would like to veer away from my staple EDM.

🔊 Definitely hooked to EDM (electronic dance music); a great fan of Dutch DJ Nicky Romero, and some artists under Protocol Records. Also into some Thai pop music that I get to listen to from Spotify.
🎥 Into fantasy movies, and my all time favorite is Peter Pan—it just never grows old. On the list are: The Lord of the Rings series; Harry Potter (JK Rowling) series; and Disney animations.
📚 I rarely read/finish a book, but I would go through pages of topics that interest me, especially when I am doing a research.

🌟 One amazing thing that I have done is I have co-created an electronic dance music festival brand in Manila, Philippines that had its debut on April 2016, played by local and global artists—something that was only a dream before. 7 April 2018 is its third year.

🤓 I am former college lecturer on Fashion Design and Merchandising for 4 years. The courses I handle are mostly design classes that include sketching and color rendering, plus inspirational designing. If any CSer would like to learn a few basics, I would be more than willing to teach some, and share tips on how one could continue improving on his/her own skill after.
🇵🇭 The Philippines has a rich heritage and culture which I can share with individuals who take interest in it.
🍳 If circumstances permits, maybe we can do a cookout, and we could probably prepare a meal to share.
