About Me
Hello there~
I'm Cindy from Germany and I'm studying mathematics (changing to Computer Science soon!) at the University of Bonn. Currently I'm doing an exchange at the National Taiwan University in Taipei, (obviously) Taiwan.
I'm a rather quiet and shy person in the beginning, but I tend to be more open and talkative after a while. Also, although I'm more the introvert type, I do like to meet new people and also try out new stuff and visit new places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In general, I'm more a listener than a speaker: I love to listen to stories~ It can be about someone's travels, culture or life. I'm still young and I feel like I lack in life experience, so I hope CS helps me to get a better insight into people, countries and the world. I also heard a lot of good things about CS, so I want to try it out and see it for myself! And to be honest (even if some ppl don't like this argument): Since I'm a student I want to travel on a low budget, so through CS I can save money to stay longer in a country or travel to more countries!
Interests
I like to do sports, but only certain ones. I'm not a person, who does sport to lose weight. I do it, because I love it and also because I like to challenge myself (e.g. running a half marathon, although I don't like running). I also like to try out new sports and end up liking it (squash, bouldering) haha

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to listen to a lot of K-Pop, but since a few years I'm not into it anymore (I still follow my favourites tho). Right now, I just listen to Popmusic and started to listen to Taiwanese singers. Some people showed me their music, which is usually rock, and I always like the songs, so I think I like rock? xD
Feel free to show me your music, no offense, but I don't like metal for sure
I watched korean dramas and only watch a few right now. I like the movies of Ghibli Studios and usually animation movies like UP or action movies like any Marvel movie. I'm not a fan of horror movies....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My exchange in Taiwan is the best choice I made so far: I met new people, who are living on the other side of Germany (or in Germany lol) and who became my life long friends. I went on trips to countries I will never forget. Taiwan itself is an underrated country, but it offers so much! Only after one term in Taiwan, I feel like that Taiwan became my second home. One of my goals in Taiwan was finishing the Taipei 101 run up! Another thing that I will never forget is the hike to the peak of the highest mountain in Taiwan!
