About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience new places, meet new people, gain new perspectives, and end up just as confused about it all as I was in the first place.

ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm Australian but I moved to Brazil in 2016 for a new experience, and I've definitely been getting it! Unfortunately I am unable to host right now, but hopefully it will be possible in the near future.

I'm a fairly laid-back guy most of the time, I love to joke around but I always try to show respect for others. Usually I just want to experience as much as I can when travelling, without getting too stressed about things. I like to try things which are new or strange to me. I'm always happy to meet new people along the way too!

PHILOSOPHY

The only objective truth is that there are no objective truths. However, sometimes you've still got to find a way to agree....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

**Sorry, I cannot host at the moment, living arrangements don't allow me to do so. Hopefully this will change in the future!**

Both hosting and surfing. If I host you I'll do my best to make it a positive experience and spend time with you when I can, but the one little thing I don't like so much is when surfers don't seem to show that they are able to do things on their own without you. Most people I've hosted have not been like this though fortunately.

As far as surfing goes I don't need much more than a place to sleep, but in my experience usually people offer much more than that, which is great :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the pleasure of being hosted by people in various countries, such as Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Turkey, Austria and Romania. It was always a great experience, didn't have a bad one yet.

I've hosted a number of people both inside and outside of the CS project, back at home in Australia as well as in Spain. One was meant to stay a couple of days, but we got along so well they stayed for 7 weeks!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Lots of styles! Electronic, Funk, Jazz, Traditional Music, Metal, Hip-Hop, Reggae/Dub, Classical, there's not many styles which I can't/don't enjoy. In my opinion nearly any genre you can think of has some great artists (and some terrible ones too)

Movies: There Will Be Blood, City of God, The Big Lebowski, Spinal Tap, Black Dynamite, Dr. Strangelove, Chopper

TV Series: The Wire, The Sopranos, The Man In The High Castle, Breaking Bad

Books: Darkness At Noon, American Psycho, books by writers such as Ryszard Kapuczinski, Tony Judt and Sven Lindqvist, and a lot of other non-fiction stuff.
