CURRENT MISSION
Searching for interesting communities built around bakeries in the world 🌎 🥖🍞🥐
ABOUT ME
I am a baker, and I’m baking sourdough breads with my wife Nozomi.
We love good music and warm hearted people.
Nozomi and I used to run a bakery called “VANER” where we baked breads and pastries in a 100yrs old traditional Japanese house in Tokyo.
Over 4.5 years of running the bakery, we’ve built a community around it which felt like a beautiful village in a gigantic city of Tokyo.
After having a trouble with our financial investor, who wanted to expand the business just for the sake of profit by exploiting our bakers, we’ve decided to close the bakery…
Now together with my wife, who I met in the bakery, we’re searching for beautiful communities built around bakeries around the world.
In 2023 March, we’ve moved to Oslo, Norway, where I first learned sourdough bread 6 years ago, and we’re working together in a bakery there.
Occasionally in our holiday time, we are planning to visit bakers in Europe to learn from them.
So if you get a request from us, that means having Japanese baker couple covered in flour, bringing freshly baked breads to your home and having dinners together sharing breads on the table🍽️✨😉
If it sounds like a not too bad idea, please please respond with YES!🧡
Looking forward to meeting you!!!☺️☀️

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked 100hours per week in Japan, to be a baker.
17hour per day, 6 days a week.
It was almost a slavery, and I was never allowed touch the dough, but I was doing washing and cleaning all day.
So I gave up with my dream to be a baker and moved to Norway.
Then I met an old lady there, and she told me to start baking again.
So I did.
I fell in love with baking again, and I was baking breads everyday.
6months later, I got to meet a great sourdough baker as a mentor.
3 months after that I got a phone call from Japan for a position as a head baker in a new opening bakery.
I was discovered through instagram by the investor.
And in this bakery, I met my wife, best friend, partner of life, Nozomi.
We left the bakery after 4years of business, we’re onto our bread adventure starting from Norway since 2023.
One amazing thing I’ve done, would be the fact that I’m still alive and happy with my wife, and we’re meeting amazing people through baking breads ;)
