My current mission is to meet new people learn new languages and live life to the fullest. Also just experiencing life, remembering the here and now is important.

ABOUT ME

I am an international teacher. I love to read, cook some delicious vegan food and hang with my cats. I dance, practice yoga, sing and generally enjoy life.

PHILOSOPHY

The questions are sometimes more important than the answers.

I am not religious. I am critical and I am respectful.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been in Taiwan six years and have space finally to host others. My little house has a spare bedroom and a comfortable couch .
I have hosted a few travelers through "host a sister". I had sisters stay a few days and a couple stay over for a few days.

When I travel it is nice to meet new people and learn about their lives. I still keep in touch with previous hosts from years ago when I couch surfed in Spain. It's a way to make real human connections with people from all over the world.

I really enjoy making new friends and being able to experience the local scene wherever I travel with my hosts help. Even when I don't couch surf I still meet locals and learn about new ways of living.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, anything by Tom Robbins, House of the Spirits (La case de los espíritus) by Isabel Allende, Requiem por un campesino español - I love so many books! so many authors! I love all kinds of music and my favorite movies are anything animated by Hayao Miyazaki- but especially My Neighbor Totoro. I used to play the violin and clarinet, I had self taught on piano and guitar but its been a long time. Now I mostly just sing. As much as I can, i love KTV. I love movies.

Some of my favorite bands are The Strokes, Modest Mouse, Blackalicious, Sigur Ros, Estrella Morente, Rosalia, Princess Nokia, Beyonce, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Oren Lavie, Darkdarkdark, Sufjan Stevens, MIA, Bad Religion, Choking Victim, Cat Power, Charlie XCX, Major Lazer, Richard Cheese, Showtunes!!!!!!! ( Les Mis, Wicked, Rent, Spring Awakening, to name a few favorites) Modest Mouse, No Cash, Star F-ing Hipsters, Noah and the Whale, Destiny's Child, Salt-n-Peppa, TLC, Yelle, and many more

The moment I walked into the Sagrada Familia and looked up ...
walking along the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland where the wind is so strong that it almost tears you off the edge...
Traveling all over southeast Asia, meeting new friends, learning new languages...
The giant Buddha at Wat Pho, Bustling Tokyo, the history ( sometimes impossibly hard to learn about) in Vietnam, the mix of cultures in Taiwan, the ancient mixed with the new in China,,,, Traveling is amazing!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I am lucky enough to teach, English, Spanish and theater. I started a theater program at my previous school when there was none, and it grew exponentially! Now I have a tiny drama club at my new school and we shall see where it goes.

I can share music, I love singing and learning new songs, I can teach you a few things in Chinese ( still learning) I love cooking vegetarian food. I am a good conversationalist, lets talk about the world, the best books, whatever comes to mind. Plus if you are bored I can always recite Shakespeare : )
