Overview
About Me
Currently living in the Algarve, born in Spain, but British :)
I have moved to Portugal for a more calm life, enjoying the great outdoors and our garden.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to get to know the beautiful country we live in better and meet locals. I am also open to hosting and showing people our area occasionally.
Interests
I have discovered the freedom and fluidity of Contact Dance Improvisation
When possible I practice meditation on a daily basis, qi gong, journaling and general personal development work
I enjoy many festivals and retreats a year, including Tantra, ecstatic dance and Boom for examples, so really my interests are wide and varied, and always being shaped on my journey of self discovery
I have two amazing and beautiful children who I travel with sometimes.
- meditation
- walking
- gardening
- cycling
- massage
- dance
- acroyoga
- boats
- qi gong
Music, Movies, and Books
At the side of my bed right now is
Women who run with wolves
Silence by thich nhat hanh
Mindfulness quotes
I don’t like to spend time in tv too much.
Music, anything with an African beat, moving my hips to ecstatic dance music, journeying and letting go through movement… it’s all possible :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled to a very remote part of Colombia - it took days to get there and we were the only travellers there. It was totally bizarre and an experience I will never forget. Even though if really I don't ever want to be that isolated and remote again!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to inspire people business wise
I retired “semi retired” at a young age, which gives me a lot of reflection on work/life balance, what it is to become “successful” and the pursuit of happiness…
Ha ha and not taking it all too serious
Anything Tantra related, movement related and connection, with heartfelt listening is beautiful for me to share
Honesty, authentic and genuine
What I Can Share with Hosts
Time, and maybe a meal if you have the space and energy
Maybe a shiatsu/massage or just a good old conversation is always a wonderful way to connect
Qi gong, reflexology is also a beautiful way to connect
Or through Acro yoga or contact dance if we’re feeling more active
Or a walk :)
