ABOUT ME

I'm pretty new to this site, but I have been unofficially couch surfing for years.

My name is Tuck, and I play the violin. I play other instruments too, but the violin is my main instrument, I've been playing for about 17 years now. I also play the mandolin, and the drums. I'm a music major at St. Lawrence University, and I also help run a student-run music venue on campus called the Java Barn. I recently spent the summer in Pittsburgh unofficially couch surfing, I figured becoming an actual member would make things a bit easier

The only people that I don't like are the people that don't like me

There's live music, and there's living music. I like both.

Right now I'm just a surfer, but as soon as I have a job and a place of my own my couch will be open to any and all!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never used this website before, but I have couch surfed. Last summer I went down to Pittsburgh. Eventually, through my job I made friends, and jumped around from couch to couch down there. A few years before that, a friend and I went on a cross country road trip to Cali, and stayed with people who we had never met before, it was incredibly fun.

Don't even get me started with music (I have a huge music library), as for movies; The NeverEnding Story, Star Wars, Almost Famous. And books, I love Bill Bryson books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The summer after my freshman year in college, a friend and I went on an impromptu, 2 month road trip across the country from New Hampshire to California. It was the best experience of my life. I met so many wonderful people, played tons of music, saw amazing sights. It made me realize that life is out there if you go looking for it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to share music with the world, and I want to teach people to appreciate music for what it is, not what they expect it to be. And I'm constantly striving to expand upon my experiences, I like to learn and experience something new whenever and wherever I can.
