ABOUT ME

I believe in honesty and in treating all people with respect. I love music, reading, photography and travelling. And a million other things, too. I think life can and has to be enjoyed every single day and I intend to do just that. Having said that, I think it's somewhat hard to write "all about me" without sounding like a job-application.So, let's meet somewhere and find out more!

PHILOSOPHY

Live life now. Don't believe the hype, make your own decisions and follow your heart. Treat all people with respect, as long as they do the same. Don't wait for it to happen, MAKE your dreams come true. You need to be the change you want to see in the world.

Sounds like a cliché, but I do believe that one needs to have principals and values, even if they're somewhat naive. To strive for an ideal that's impossible to achieve is not pointless as it affects your views of the world and reflects onto your daily life.

Also, to quote Orwell: "If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear".

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far so good. Honestly, it has been nothing but great. Hosting people, staying with people, the whole thing. Without CS, I wouldn't have made friends in distant locations and I wouldn't have been able to show people around my hometown..I've made lasting friendships because of this website!As travelling to different places is really an experience like no other, I think it's great that we have CS to make both more affordable and also more enjoyable. Everybody should be able to meet new people and connect with different cultures. CS is a great help.

There's two types of music : good and bad. Listing genres or artists would take too long, but mainly funk/soul/hiphop/reggae/dnb/house. With MANY exceptions.

Same goes for books i suppose, but some of my favorite authors include Hugo, Orwell, Chomsky, Joyce..the list goes on.

As for movies, i'll watch whatever i haven't seen before..Anything from Tarantino, Almodovar, Kubrick etc.

Made hundreds of people dance and enjoy themselves to the fullest! Teaching photography to Indian kids. Looking the sunset while sitting on a boat going from Europe to Asia. Surfing the waves of the Indian ocean and diving with sharks in the Pacific.Spending time with my best friends, whenever and wherever.To name a few.

I enjoy in-depth conversations, whatever the topic may be. Especially when I'm talking with someone who's from a completely different background than me. Maybe my views and experiences can give someone something, at least I find myself learning from conversations with different people.
