I am Tugce, from Turkey (Istanbul) but now I live and study in Brno, Czech Republic. I'm looking forward to discover new cultures. Except being a student, I am also translator and subtitler. And I also do coaching to the young kids / teenagers in winter and summer camps.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here because I adore traveling and all the excitement that comes with it! Since those adventures are expensive I wanted to lower my expenses by staying at total strangers' places which makes my trips more adventurous. I am looking forward to get to the part where those strangers turn into friends!

Interests

Since I study English Language Teaching / Linguistics I am open to new languages which is my passion. I don't know what human-kind did to get animals but I sure know that animals are the gifts that I appreciate. I can't imagine my life without music (Like Jim Morrison said ''Music is my special friend"), concerts, dancing, singing. I played in two bands, and I really do wanna do something towards music in the future. And reading is also one of my biggest passions because reality can be overwhelming sometimes, and it's nice to find a way to escape. Psychology is also one of my interests since I also had a lot of trouble.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm more into post hardcore, pop-punk, punk rock and indie. But I can even find myself listening a whole album of Eminem time to time it really depends on my mood. About movies, I like comedy movies while I strongly dislike horror movies (Turkish ones especially because they are really scary... really.), I also like action (Super hero movies... They are amazing), adventure and teen movies(guilty pleasure.) About books, I like poetry. I read everything pretty much but I don't like everything I read. I like Chuck Palahniuk and Sylvia Plath, Kristin Hannah and Umay Umay. I read pretty much most of the chick-lit novels. I also enjoy reading adventure and self-help kind of books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When we were in Vienna with my friend, all of the hostels were booked so we needed another place to sleep. We went to the subway, we got into the train and looked for the best station that we could sleep. But unfortunately we couldn't find any so we decided to stay in the train. We went up and down millions of times in the same direction we were sleeping with our headphones but in those moments when we were awake we met Vienna's underground people and even though we are trying to put those moments in words, it is impossible! That was one hell of a night.
