About Me

ABOUT ME

Origin from Malaysia (Kuching), currently working and staying in Singapore. A simple guy, friendly, happy go lucky, and a little bit shy, but start to talk a lot when we are close to each other. I think I'm a good listener? Hahaha, I like listening stories from different friends. Stories make us happy, and the happiness always flow in our mind like music.

Hmm.... I'm a vegetarian! But don't worry, I don't eat grass or green stuff only, in fact there're so many yummy vege food out there. I can survive anywhere I go, just non-meat eater.

Love to travel, but no money to travel far, hahaha! Looking forward meeting new friends, get to know different cultures, and different stories.

PHILOSOPHY

Lalalala, don't worry, be Happy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had my first CS in Taipei. It was an amazing experience that I'll never forget. We cook together, (actually I don't really know how to cook, just tried my best to assist), eat and talk until late night. We had endless conversation, just like long lost friends. Then I realized the awesome part of CS, meeting new friends and get to know each other's culture. Staying with the local people is the best way to see a country, not only sightseeing but also experience the real life of the local.

Apart from that, in CS we're meeting people that may travelled to countries all around the world. We share our stories, our experiences....that is something we can't find it on book. That's the best part of CS.

Interests

Urban escape, running away from big busy city, back into mother's nature, breathing the fresh air, enjoy the beauty of scenery, and feel the love from people around me. Enjoy taking photo (sometimes selfie too), haha!! And I like to meet people, get to know their stories and cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flying across small town Danyang (Korea), my first paragliding experience. Flying from Mt. Yangbangsan, seeing the little town under me, fly like a bird, and finally landed on a runway near downtown Danyang.

Another great thing I've done is, my CS experience during my visit to Taiwan! Ok, I don't repeat here as I already mentioned above.

Teach, Learn, Share

I practice meditation, mindfulness practices, Buddhism study... If you're interested to know more on the Buddha's teaching, I'll try my best to share what I know.

Or if you're interested in engineering stuff, I also have a lot to share with you. Building construction, offshore oil & gas, etc bla bla bla...

And of course, if you want to know more about Malaysia (my hometown), or Singapore (where I stay in), ask me! When I was in Taiwan, my host and I we taught each other Mandarin. Yes, u're right, mandarin! Because Malaysian's chinese is slightly different from Taiwanese's due to culture difference and of course, in Malaysia all our languages are mixed. We can have 4-5 languages in a sentence, funny huh? And yea, we found it interesting to share and to learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't have much skills, I can't dance or sing, can't really cook a nice meal. But, don't worry, I can bring u my local food/ingredients. You may have heard before, south-east asia has a wide variety of yummy food, as we (Malaysia or Singapore) has a unique culture, a mix of chinese, malay, indian, thai, etc. So, we also have unique yummy food too, Eg sambal, bak kut teh, tomyam, asam, kaya jam, etc.. My CS host in taiwan love it so much.

Anyway, if you can think of any other special stuff from south-east asia and can't find it in your country, just let me know. I'll try my best to bring over for u!
